Jenna Van Delden Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Underage Sex

Jenna Van Delden, 25-year-old woman from Great Falls, Montana, sentenced to 10 years in prison as a result of guilty pleas for felony sexual intercourse without consent, custodial interference and tampering with physical evidence,
Van Delden was arrested in January for an alleged sexual relationship with 13-year-old boy and pleaded guilty to one count of sexual intercourse without consent, one count of custodial interference, and one count of tampering with evidence in April. In exchange for her guilty plea, Van Delden entered into a non-binding agreement calling for 10 years with the Department of Corrections, with five of those years suspended.

The 25-year-old woman was initially charged for allegedly allowing a 13-year-old runaway boy to stay with her and was later she was arrested again to face additional charges of sexual intercourse without consent. n addition to charges of endangering the welfare of a child and custodial interference for allegedly allowing the runaway boy to stay with her for four months, Van Delden faced four felony charges of sexual intercourse without consent as well as tampering with evidence. Her Bond was set at $50,000 after court records indicated she bonded out of jail and attempted to contact the 13-year-old boy, who was being held at the juvenile detention center for charges related to running away. Detention center officers wouldn’t let Van Delden speak with the boy.

Court records indicate she admitted to sleeping in the same bed as the boy and having sexual intercourse with him Dec. 4. According to the affidavit, detectives conducted a forensic interview with the boy, who admitted to having sex with Van Delden between 20 to 30 times in the past four months and gave specific information about Van Delden’s body that detectives describe could only be known through an intimate relationship.

Van Delden's estranged husband allegedly told detectives that when he and Jenna were separated, they were still living in the same house and Jenna was sleeping in the same bed as the teenage boy.
