Randi Savage gets 5 years in prison

 

Randi Lynn Bratcher Savage, 32-year-old former reading teacher at Cheatham Middle School, Clarksville, Texas, who was arrested in June 2011 for an alleged sexual relationship with  13-year-old male student, has pleaded guilty and as a a result, she was sentenced to five years in prison. 

The child’s parent filed a complaint with local authorities after discovering a handwritten note, allegedly written by Savage, in her child’s pants’ pocket while preparing laundry. The note, addressed to the juvenile, details sexually explicit acts. According to an affidavit Savage allegedly communicated with the student during lunch periods, by cell phone,  text messages and Facebook over a period of several months.  The documents also details  after school contact involving the female teacher and the young boy.

Savage pleaded guilty to indecency with a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child. District Judge Eric Clifford sentenced her to concurrent five-year terms on the charges.

Randi Savage was also ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
